Most people think they know about strokes. But too often, they don’t know enough. Like, stroke is not just an older person’s illness; it can strike people of all ages. In fact, it is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. That is why Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospitals have adopted StrokeSense, a Program developed by leading community hospitals and their affiliated physicians nationwide, to help educate our community about strokes and help you recognize the risk factors. Our StrokeSense Program has been nationally recognized at Top 100 Programs in the United States.
Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital’s Emergency Services Department has implemented a Heart Response Program. This allows life saving care for victims of heart attack to begin receiving treatment before the EMS arrive at the hospital. When minutes make a difference, the ability to receive EKGs from the field saves precious time and precious loved ones.
